Colorado Monsoon inter-cloud lightning, view from the Rocky Mountains at about 8,000 feet in elevation. This was an active storm that rolled through with mostly inter-cloud lightning strikes. Most of the c2g ground strikes were in the lower elevation down below and I am sure we were seeing flashes from that as well. I retired from chasing lightning a couple years ago for medical reasons, so this was a real treat to shoot and enjoy. Shot this on the first day of Monsoon to hit Colorado on June 16th 2022. 16mm - f2.6 – 15 sec exposure – 800 ISO.
